We provide support to parents and gaurdians overwhelmed with the responsibility of taking care of children left behind by parents whose lives were claimed by HIV. These gurdians are more often than not unemployed since taking care of the kids becomes a full time engagement. They depend on rare Government aid and handouts from well wishers and NGOs operating in their areas. They lack education or skills with which to fend for themselves and fadhili comes in to initiate projects that lay a foundation for sustainable income to care for the children. These projects include initiating small scale farming and digging boreholes so that there is water available and some take-home for those manning them. Some volunteers who reached them through Fadhili Community have helped them establish business contacts in Europe and America for small scale trade-craft like sisal baskets, carvings and textiles.

There are those who are through with their secondary and find themselves jobless due to the high competition in white collar jobs. these, fadhili sponsors to go for vocational training like hairdressing, carpentry, tailoring and masonry. We have had many success stories, especially with this latter group as they find themselves more and more able to cater for themselves and even start families. Some have come back to help inspire those who have joined such programmes after them. Others regularly join up with Fadhili staff in various community projects.
